Edward Towner aka EddieBower (BMI) began his music industry career in 1999 as a Traffic Manager for radio station WABB-FM in Mobile, Alabama. After 3 years; he was let go and left to ponder if his career was over before it started. While living in a hotel room with his dad, he harnessed his musical skills and produced a local hip-hop act that opened for Ludacris in 2003. Moving back to L.A. shortly thereafter, he quickly discovered that he was a “small fish in a BIG pond!” Knowing that he needed more, he decided to attend Musicians Institute (www.mi.edu) in ’05. After graduating from MI’s Audio Engineering program in 2006, he was hired as Chief Engineer for multi-platinum producer George “G-One” Archie (R. Kelly, DJ Quik, Raphael Saadiq) and has worked with such artists as WC, Tank, Darius McCrary, Yukmouth, Glasses Malone, Anderson.Paak and Greg Phillinganes (Michael Jackson) as well as the 2007 HBO documentary Bastards of the Party (directed by Antoine Fuqua). He was hired shortly after at MI as a Studio Session Supervisor before becoming a full-time Audio Engineering Instructor in 2010. In 2017, he also was credited as sound engineer & co-composer for the live-action short film DragonBall Z: Light Of Hope; which garnered over 1M views on YouTube within the first week. In 2020, E.B. launched his music platform eddiebowermusic; which details the creation of professional music from all disciplines, and the enhancement that music brings to our lives.
