Welcome to Stop Motion University. These Terms and Conditions (the “Terms”) govern your use of stopmotionuniversity.com, your account, and the courses, forums, events, digital materials, and related services offered through the website (collectively, the “Services”). By using the Services, creating an account, enrolling in a course, or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Services.
1. Eligibility and Accounts
You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Services. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these Terms for you. You agree to provide accurate registration information, keep your login credentials secure, and promptly notify us of suspected unauthorized access. You are responsible for activity conducted through your account.
2. Courses and Educational Content
Course descriptions, availability, instructors, schedules, lesson counts, assignments, and features may be corrected, updated, replaced, or discontinued when reasonably necessary. Placeholder or upcoming course content does not promise a specific publication date. The Services are educational and do not guarantee employment, income, certification, professional results, or any particular creative outcome.
3. Purchases and Payment
Prices are shown before purchase and may change prospectively. You authorize the selected payment provider to charge the amount shown at checkout, including applicable taxes. Payments may be processed by third-party providers such as Stripe or PayPal and are also subject to those providers’ terms. You are responsible for supplying accurate billing information.
4. Refunds and Cancellations
Refunds, credits, and cancellations are available only when expressly stated at the time of purchase or when required by applicable law. To request help with a purchase, contact contact@stopmotionuniversity.com and include the email address used for the order and the order number. Nothing in these Terms limits any non-waivable consumer rights.
5. Course Access and Acceptable Use
Unless a course listing states otherwise, enrollment grants the registered student a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access the purchased content for educational use. You may not share accounts; copy, resell, redistribute, publicly display, or commercially exploit course materials; bypass access or security controls; scrape the website; introduce malicious code; harass others; impersonate another person; or use the Services unlawfully.
6. Student Submissions and Community Areas
You retain ownership of original work you submit. When you submit text, images, videos, URL links, forum posts, reviews, or other material, you grant Stop Motion University a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, format, and display that material only as reasonably necessary to operate, teach through, moderate, and improve the Services. You represent that you have the right to submit the material and that it does not infringe another person’s rights. Do not submit private or confidential information in public areas.
7. Instructors and Administrators
Instructor and administrative access may be subject to separate written arrangements, assigned permissions, and additional responsibilities. Users with elevated access must protect student information, use it only for authorized educational or administrative purposes, and follow applicable privacy and security requirements.
8. Intellectual Property
The website, branding, course materials, videos, graphics, downloads, software, and other content supplied by Stop Motion University or its licensors are protected by intellectual-property laws. Except for the limited access expressly granted in these Terms, no rights are transferred to you.
9. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may link to or rely on third-party websites, software, payment services, video hosts, or tools. Stop Motion University does not control third-party services and is not responsible for their availability, content, security, or practices. Your use of them may be governed by separate terms and privacy policies.
10. Suspension and Termination
We may restrict or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the Services, respond to unlawful conduct, enforce these Terms, address nonpayment, or prevent abuse or security threats. You may stop using the Services at any time. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will remain in effect.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Services are provided “as is” and “as available.” We do not warrant that the Services will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or compatible with every device or third-party service. We do not exclude warranties or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Stop Motion University and its owners, instructors, contractors, and service providers will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from the Services. Where liability cannot be excluded, it will be limited to the amount paid for the specific Service giving rise to the claim, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Services, law, or business practices. The revised version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Material changes will apply prospectively, and we will provide additional notice when required by law.
14. Governing Rules
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the operator of Stop Motion University, without overriding mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. Before filing a formal claim, please contact us and allow a reasonable opportunity to resolve the issue informally. Any dispute that cannot be resolved will be handled by a court with lawful jurisdiction.
15. Contact
Questions about these Terms may be sent to contact@stopmotionuniversity.com. For safety and privacy, Stop Motion University does not publish a public telephone number.
