Because we are dealing photography we will need to control the lighting the best we can. This is easily done with a simple desk lamp. If you do not have access to a desk lamp you can always use your room lights but be aware that this will cause flicker due to your body movement in the room. Also, you will need to shut your curtains and close your doors to remove any outside light influence. If you are serious about having a professional or semi professional set up you can always purchase lighting kits through a local camera retailer or through online stores and sights like Amazon. You should consider looking into LED panel kits since they will provide a zero flicker light source that brightness and color can be adjusted. NEEWER makes great kits that can be purchased through Amazon that also come with stands. I suggest you do not buy the ones with the doors on the front. They just get in the way. For our class you don’t need much but you will want to control your light at the bare minimum to ensure no flicker and distraction.
