Fail Forward – Don’t Be Afraid
The best way to succeed is to learn from your mistakes. If you don’t make mistakes then you will never learn and grow. The expression for this is failing forward. Through sociological scientific studies it has been found that the majority of successful people in the world (millionaires & billionaires) failed over and over again until they got it right and started to succeed. The same is true for artists. You’ll hear people praise individuals for their talents and often say they were born with them. The thing about talent is that you are not born with talent. You are born with various levels of physical and mental advantages over another individual but that isn’t talent. Talent is produced by hours and hours of practice. Your physical and mental abilities are just one factor but if you don’t practice you will never be good. Practice is where you fail so that when it comes time to perform, produce, and work you are ready not to fail. Failing on the job can be a heart breaking moment and one that can be very traumatic, especially when it is unexpected. Be sure however that it is not the end of the world. You can always move on and see another day.
The over all point is that you must fail to succeed. Don’t be afraid of failure. Embrace it. Make it your friend and soon your friend failure will change and evolve into success. By failing forward you will reach new heights, you will be better adapted to problem solving, and you will be the envy of those who have no idea how much work you put into the skill you now have achieved.
Fail Forward and be a Success!
