Barry has been involved in stop motion for over forty years, as an animator, director, and writer working on his own award winning short films such as Next, Screen Play, Rigoletto, Achilles, Plume and Tchaikovsky – an elegy, as well as several hundred episodes of various children’s TV series including The Wind in the Willows and Twirlywoos. Barry was also involved with Mars Attacks! and King Kong.
Barry has given at studios and universities around the world, and has written several books on animation.
